What is ExpressVPN?
ExpressVPN is a personal VPN service that routes your internet traffic through an encrypted tunnel to servers in 113 countries. It uses AES-256 encryption, its own Lightway protocol with post-quantum protection, and TrustedServer technology, which means no data is written to a hard drive. The company states it keeps no activity logs.
There are apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, iPhone/iPad, Android, Apple TV, Fire Stick, Android TV and routers, plus extensions for Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Features include a kill switch, split tunneling, private encrypted DNS, an ad and tracker blocker (Threat Manager), parental controls and an optional dedicated IP.
Higher plans add other tools to the subscription: the ExpressAI chatbot, the ExpressMailGuard email relay, the ExpressKeys password manager and holiday.com eSIM data. It suits people who want privacy on public networks, access to content from other countries, or one subscription that covers several privacy tools. A Teams version is available for organizations.
