What is Private Internet Access?
Private Internet Access (PIA) is a personal VPN service that encrypts your internet traffic and hides your real IP address by routing it through its own servers. The network covers 113 countries, including all 50 US states, and the servers use 10Gbps network cards.
The apps are 100% open source and support the WireGuard and OpenVPN protocols, with a choice of 128-bit or 256-bit AES encryption. Features include split tunneling, a kill switch, multi-hop connections and MACE, which blocks ads, trackers and malicious sites. PIA's no-logs policy has been reviewed in independent audits by Deloitte. Paid add-ons include a dedicated IP and a Windows antivirus.
One subscription covers unlimited devices. Apps are available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS, with browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox and router setup for smart TVs and consoles. It suits people who want privacy on public Wi-Fi, safer file sharing, or access to home content while traveling.
