What is SimpleLogin?
SimpleLogin is an email alias service. You give websites an alias instead of your real address, and it forwards incoming mail to your personal inbox without storing it. You can reply from your email client and the reply goes out from the alias, so your real address stays hidden.
You can manage aliases on the website, through Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari extensions, or in the iOS and Android apps. Premium adds custom domains with catch-all, subdomains and directories for creating aliases on the fly, multiple mailboxes, and PGP encryption of forwarded mail. Every plan has unlimited forwards and bandwidth.
The server code and apps are open source, and you can self-host the service with Docker. SimpleLogin is a Proton AG product based in Switzerland, and Premium now includes Proton Pass premium. It suits privacy-minded people who want separate addresses for each account, and small businesses that want to run their domain email through aliases.

Use cases
Who it's for
Signing up for online accounts
Use a separate alias for each site so that a data breach does not expose your real address, and turn off any alias that starts getting spam.
Business email on a custom domain
Create addresses like contact@your-domain.com that forward to an existing mailbox, without paying for a separate email hosting plan.
Private correspondence
Reply to or start emails from an alias so the people you write to never see your personal address.
Encrypted inbox
Encrypt forwarded mail with your own PGP key before it reaches your mailbox, for example in Proton Mail or Thunderbird.
