What is Amnezia VPN?

Amnezia VPN is a VPN client and service family built for people in countries with heavy internet censorship. One app connects to Amnezia Premium (a paid classic VPN), Amnezia Free (a limited free service for blocked sites), or a self-hosted VPN you deploy on your own server.

Its main protocol, AmneziaWG, builds on WireGuard and adds obfuscation against DPI detection and blocking. For self-hosted setups the open-source client supports OpenVPN, OpenVPN over Cloak, WireGuard, AmneziaWG, IKEv2, XRay Reality and ShadowSocks, with split tunneling and a kill switch. The company says it passed security audits by 7ASecurity in 2022, 2024 and 2025.
