What is Bitfinex?
Bitfinex is a centralized cryptocurrency exchange, founded in 2012, for spot, margin and derivatives trading across more than 260 markets. Its homepage advertises zero maker and taker fees on trading.
Beyond the spot exchange, Bitfinex offers margin trading, margin lending through its Funding product, staking, Bitfinex Borrow, an OTC desk and derivatives through both Bitfinex Derivatives and Thalex Derivatives. It also has a separate Bitfinex Securities offering and its own UNUS SED LEO token. Traders get custom interface layouts, a reporting app, paper trading in demo mode, and API and WebSocket access.
