What is AdGuard?
AdGuard is an ad blocker that removes banners, pop-ups, video ads and trackers in browsers and apps, and blocks phishing and malicious sites. It ships as system-wide apps for Windows, Mac, Android, Android TV, iOS and Linux, plus browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Opera and Yandex Browser.
The desktop and Android apps filter traffic across all apps, not only the browser. On Android this works without root access. The iOS app blocks ads in Safari and uses DNS filtering for other apps. AdGuard Home is a network-level option: you install it on a router and it covers every device on the home network, IoT devices included. There is also parental control for adult content.
AdGuard fits people who want one ad blocker across several devices, families who need content filtering, and Linux or home-network users who want blocking at the system or router level. The company also makes AdGuard VPN, DNS, Mail, Temp Mail and Wallet.
