The CoinEx cryptocurrency exchange was founded in Hong Kong in 2017. Today, it serves over 10 million users worldwide, which speaks to its reliability and popularity.
Fees
CoinEx does not have the highest trading fees on the crypto market, but they are not the lowest either. The gold standard for spot trading is considered to be a 0.1% fee, while CoinEx charges 0.2%. You can also receive additional discounts on spot trading if you pay fees using CET tokens.
Futures trading fees are 0.03% for Makers and 0.05% for Takers. Overall, these are favorable conditions for futures trading.
Below, you can see a screenshot showing trading fee discounts based on your VIP level. We will explain how VIP levels are determined further on.
The VIP level is determined based on one of four parameters:
- CET token balance
- Total balance of all tokens
- 30-day trading volume on the spot market
- 30-day trading volume on the futures market
Important: You don't need to meet all of these criteria — meeting just one is enough to qualify for the corresponding VIP status. Below, you’ll see a screenshot with a breakdown of each VIP level.

Key Features
Trading
You can trade on both the spot and futures markets with leverage of up to 100x. Demo trading and copy trading are available on the futures market. Unfortunately, CoinEx does not currently offer trading bots, but we hope they will be added in the future.
P2P
P2P is a platform for exchanging cryptocurrency for cash and vice versa. It is not very popular on CoinEx and offers a limited selection of currencies and listings, but it is available. Check whether your local currency is supported — this method might be a convenient option for buying or selling cryptocurrency for fiat.
Financial account
You can transfer your idle assets to earn daily income. This feature is well implemented on CoinEx — kudos to them for that. All you need to do is move your tokens to your financial account, and you’ll automatically start earning income without any extra effort.
Staking
You can stake your tokens to earn additional income. CoinEx doesn’t offer a wide range of staking options (at the time of writing, there were only 5 tokens available), but major tokens like ETH, SOL, TRX, ADA, and CET are included. Hopefully, the list will expand in the future.
Loans
You can obtain USDT on credit by using your crypto assets as collateral. This is useful when you need USDT for a certain period but don't want to sell your crypto holdings.
AMM
The AMM (automated market maker) tool allows you to add tokens to a liquidity pool and receive 50% of the trading fees as dividends. Before adding tokens to the pool, you should be aware of the risk that those tokens may lose value, and you could end up losing more in dollar terms than you earn. It makes sense to add tokens to a liquidity pool only if you intend to hold them for the long term.
Tournaments
The CoinEx crypto exchange frequently holds trading tournaments with prize giveaways. If you're a successful trader, CoinEx could be a great fit for you. You can earn not only profits from trading, but also additional rewards from CoinEx for participating in tournaments.
API
With the API, you can interact with the CoinEx exchange through your own systems or integrate it with other tools such as analytics platforms, trading bots, and more. Another important feature of CoinEx is its proof of reserves. This means the exchange holds a sufficient amount of its users’ tokens and guarantees that, if something happens to CoinEx, you will be able to get your funds back.
CoinEx is a reliable crypto exchange with a user-friendly design. It offers nearly all the essential features for successful trading.
